Picture in the Paper
This picture was taken the day I was sworn in as an attorney, and made the front page in the local newspaper for lawyers. My good friend from high school served as my sponsor, making a motion before the court on my behalf. As you can see, one of us is 5'6, and the other is 6'5. He had quite the growth spurt after ninth grade. I remember asking "What the hell did you eat over the summer?" If I had been more savvy, I would have asked, "Can you get me some?"

You're looking very lawyerly. I'm picturing you stabbing your finger down while making a point, wearing that suit, and I bet you're damn convincing.
my neighbor is almost as tall as your friend. mike was visiting & he knocked on the door. when mike opened the door, he was a little surprised. i hadn't warned him.
Well, it was like I opened the door wide...but the entire doorframe was still blocked, and the hallway still completely shut out, every bit as much as if the door was still closed.
