The weather in Detroit is perfect today. Absolutely PERFECT. So I cannot blog now; that would be wrong. If your weather is as nice as mine, get away from your computer right now, and go outside. Fire up the grill, take a walk, work in your garden. Anything, as long as it's outside.

mike & i went to the beach and sat in the sand...then drove to princeton and explored the campus...
yes, it was indeed a perfect day...
sounds like a lot of fun. I took a walk through one of my favorite neighborhoods. I discovered details that are easy to miss while driving: the type of vegetables being sold from the stand, the number of used record shops in the neighborhood, the music played for pedestrians from speakers placed at intervals for a few blocks.
I think your trip to the beach trumps my afternoon stroll.
